I strongly oppose an "European army" because as a French I know what it means.
We are experiencing the "European army" in Mali. And what does it means ? France pays. France loses soldiers. France loses money. And Germany or Spain only send helicopters...
It can't work this way. An European army should be organic. To defend common interest. Not artificially grown like the EU tried.
I think a system of alliances by era of influence should be better. And also a program of inter-operability with all the Europeans armies, to be able to eventually intervene together.
But we must remain independent nations, with local interests and local alliances.
FRANCISCVS, [21.04.20 00:36]

FRANCISCVS, [21.04.20 00:39]
[In reply to KL0V1S Gallia Daily]
Yes. I too have theorized that Europe is better left as multiple blocs that may at least cooperate with Europe as a whole. Maybe idk four or five different blocs and some completely independent nations, but remaining on amicable terms with one another. Instead of axis vs allies or Warsaw pact vs NATO.
KL0V1S Gallia Daily, [21.04.20 00:39]
[In reply to FRANCISCVS]
Don't worry they do the same in France, in the Netherlands. Etc..
And that's pretty accurate : Russie does support nationalist parties, because nationalist parties are pro-russian.
But that's not the proof of an active Russia strategy to push dissension an conflict in European nations or the US. That's only a proof of russia pushing russian interests.
If they were really clever, with an offensive strategy, they would massively support both Antifa and libertarians. Both human rights activists and ecologists and the NRA. Etc etc. Just to create opposition and make the country very divided.
It's a long term game however.

[In reply to KL0V1S Gallia Daily]
Eh. I forgot about that Macron's idea. I know what you meant. Sorry for that. Let me express my condolences to the nation..
Recently talking to one Swede from embacy, they sent around 100 persons also. I didn't mean army of that type.
I meant that Europe should unite in times of crisis which could threat all the European nation states.
I got your point of making a modern "European concert". But I must admit that it's barely possible
KL0V1S Gallia Daily, [21.04.20 00:44]
[In reply to Anatolii Parkhomchuk]
Haha don't apologize, don't worry mate. I get your point and I agree. I just gave this necessary precision : any European initiative should be organic and grassroot.
Trying to create a fake European unity will only give birth to resentment and division, to inequalities.
However, we are very lucky : organically, Europeans seek to unite and cooperate together. So I'm pretty sure once we restored a good political order in all our nations, we will naturally see military and geopolitical cooperation, maybe multilateral one, with dozen of actors involved !

Yes. I too have theorized that Europe is better left as multiple blocs that may at least cooperate with Europe as a whole. Maybe idk four or five different blocs and some completely independent nations, but remaining on amicable terms with one another. Instead of axis vs allies or Warsaw pact vs NATO.

But I get what @adskii_skorop said however.
I'm also favourable to strong cooperation between Europeans. Both politically and in the military. But on sane bases, founded on mutual sovereignty
